Emma was playing with her dolls today and laying them all down for a nap. Before they napped, she had them say their prayers, "Lord, forgive our sins, and give us Hersheys. Give us what we really like. Amen." Hmmm... started out in the right direction...
About Hersheys... for Valentine's day, Emma was given several treats (mostly from school) that she could not eat because of her peanut allergy. She was feeling very discouraged and I was feeling like the mean mom, because I was having to take all her treats away. So Dakota found a plain bar of Hershey chocolate that didn't have a peanut warning on it. Jackpot! We broke it up into the little rectangles and let her have one or two at lunch or dinner each day until it was gone. She wanted to ration it like that so it would last as long as possible. And she savored each little rectangle she got to have. It was such a treat, because she likes chocolate so much, but there are so few chocolate candies that are safe for people with peanut allergies. Well, you can see from the prayer she had her dolls pray that Hershey has made quite an impression on her.

awwww poor girl! that stinks she had to ration her chocolate! it does seem like everything has been "processed along with other products containing nuts, wheat, soy etc" what a bummer!
I was going to put one of those GIANT bars in her birthday bag, but it had the warning. :( Bummer! I guess she'll be getting a regular size one. I thought it was weird that it is the SAME exact thing, just bigger, but it had the warning on it!?
yeah, it's interesting how that warning shows up on lots of things you wouldn't expect. i forgot Hershey's chocolate chips are OK too. we had some of those last night. :)
