At one year old, Josiah weighs in at just over 25 pounds, and is 32 inches tall, with blond hair and blue eyes. He doesn’t have many words yet, but he can say mama, dada, and sign “more.” He’s a very active boy, and never happier than when there is a big open space for him to run around in. He doesn’t have a blankie or favorite stuffed animal. Instead, he sucks his thumb and looks for some hair to hold on to. Fortunately his mom and sisters have lots of hair—and so does he! He knows what he likes (to get into everything), and what he doesn’t like (to be told no). And he can get rather aggressive when he doesn’t get his way. But he gives good snuggles, so I suppose that makes up for it.
We went for a walk in the woods to do some 1 year old pictures with him. He thought it was great fun. We brought his horse out there in hopes that if we put him on it, he might actually stay in one place for more than 5 seconds. But he figured out pretty quickly how to get off of it and run away.
Oh well... all's well that ends well.
