That ridiculous wood-hog is back! A wood-hog, in our house, is a very non-mythical creature, that is a cross between a wood chuck and a ground hog, lives under our back deck, and haunts us with its presence! (We didn't know at first if it was a wood chuck or a ground hog, so my lovely confused daughter unintentionally started calling it a wood-hog, and that seems to have stuck.) Anywho, we thought, after not seeing it for almost 2 weeks, we thought we had finally outsmarted it and it had moved on. But as I just saw it out in the grass about 2 minutes ago, it seems that was not the case. So on to plan B... borrow some used cat litter. What!?!? Do you think my neighbor would slam the door in my face if I went over and asked to borrow some used cat litter from their cat's litter box? Well, we'll probably find out later tonight. My aunt swears by this as a way to get rid of them--spread the used litter in the area where they are living, and they will think it's been taken over by another animal and move out. And since nothing else we have tried to this point has worked, we just might give it a try. I just hope it doesn't decide to move under one of our other decks... Stay tuned for updates.
