Say Cheeeese!

To help simplify things a little this holiday season, we let JCPenneys take some of our Christmas photos. I still did a few pictures with the kids at home, but it's just too hard to do pictures with all of us when there's a baby thrown into the mix.

This is one of Dakota's favorite pictures of the kids. He says this is the expression of a little boy who just realized he has to spend his entire childhood with two older sisters:




And of course, here is the traditional family picture. Everyone is actually smiling! And in case you're wondering, this is how Ashlyn smiles for pictures these days (unless someone is tickling her). She says this is her grown up smile. A little too dignified for a 3 year old, if you ask me.

And I had been wanting to try out some ideas with Josiah in a Santa hat. He was quite the ham! Too bad we already had our Christmas cards printed up by the time I took these.
