Sssssss... That is Ashlyn's new way of saying she wants to "see" something. And by far, her favorite thing to "see" is the mantle above the fireplace, which has lots of pictures, and a few Easter decorations. Several times a day, she will point up to the mantle and run over to it, saying, "Ssssss...!" And the funniest part is if you start talking to her about it. If I start asking her if she wants to see the pictures, and who she sees up there, she starts getting unbelievably excited and laughing so hard you'd think she might cry. It makes her day if you pick her up and take her over to see the pictures of the cute baby (her baby pics) and the purple bunny that sings and dances.
There are lots of things she begs to see every day, but that is the one that elicits the funniest reactions from her. Other things she asks to Sssss... at least a couple times a day include almost any book, along with the baby on the diaper box and the hats on the shelf in her closet.
