3:30AM Wake Up Call!

There are few things in life more alarming than waking up at 3:30AM to a strong smell like your house is on fire!  This morning I experienced this first hand.  Fortunately, there was no fire, just a furnace with a blown capacitor and motor.  (Our second one in a month and a half!)  We quickly recognized what the problem was, "thanks" to some other furnace problems we've had recently, and we shut down the h-vac system right away.  But that left us with a very cold house that smelled strongly like we had built a campfire in every room.  The furnace repair company came first thing in the morning and spent a while diagnosing and fixing the problem.  Hopefully it'll actually stay fixed this time and we won't have anymore alarming wake up calls again!  The upstairs still smells like a campfire, but despite that, I think we will hear an early bedtime calling our names tonight.
