The girls enjoyed a short lesson in the one-room school house, and tried their hand at some farm chores. They shelled corn and kneeded some bread dough. Ashlyn had no idea what the strange looking thing on the wall was, but was amazed when she heard a dial tone and an operator telling her, "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again..." Josiah loved all the animals. He seemed quite tickled by all the attention he got from the pigs. (I'm guessing they thought we had food.) And he also loved petting the cow and horse, and chasing the chickens around.
We ran into several other homeschooling families we knew there, including Emma's best friend, Natalie. All three kids loved their time there and want to go back again soon. I suppose since we have a membership now, there's no reason we can't go back more often!
