The Money Saving Mom's Budget

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audio version of Money Saving Mom's new book, "The Money Saving Mom's Budget." It's so rare these days for me to have time to sit down and actually read a book from cover to cover, so the audio version was a great alternative for me!

For anyone who doesn't regularly follow Money Saving Mom's blog, this book highlights many of Crystal's money saving ideas. Her recent publication is like her handbook, and her blog is the place where her ideas come to life--the place where real life successes and failures are shared every day.

This is not a boring list of 100 tips you've heard before about how to save money. This is Crystal's real life story. She and her husband have been through the trenches, and have come out the other side better for what they learned, and eager to share it with anyone who needs the encouragement and help.

I've been a follower of her blog for a few years now, and I've learned a lot from her. Her book did a great job of pulling together all of her best ideas for frugal living in one place. Some of the things she discusses in her book are,
*Setting big goals
*Eliminating clutter from your life (I need to listen to this chapter again!)
*Setting a budget
*Eliminating debt
*How to get started with coupons

She also shares countless ideas for how to save money on day-to-day living expenses, in addition to ways to earn a little extra money without taking on a second or third job. Through all of her tips and advice, she keeps an upbeat, positive attitude.

This would be a great book for a college student or someone just starting out on their own. Also, anyone who feels like their finances are out of control and needs help knowing how/where to even begin turning things around, would benefit from this book.

A little bit about the author:
