This was the lucky one that made it out before Dakota could catch him.
This one was peeking out from the skimmer basket to see if the coast was clear.
This one swam a few laps across the pool before meeting his demise.
I might add there were some impressively large spiders also hanging out in the skimmer basket with the snake. (Huge like it's-not-right-for-spiders-to-grow-that-big kind of huge!) But for those of you with a healthy fear of spiders (like me) I'll spare you the pictures. ; )
