White Christmas

We, in fact, had a VERY white Christmas this year!  Just a few days before Christmas, we got hit with a big blizzard!  It's now been a full week (plus a day) after the blizzard hit and I'm wondering just what kind of super-glue snow we got hit with!  There is still snow lining the branches of most of the trees.  (Not normal) And I've never seen the roads, even main roads, in such bad shape around here a full week after a storm.  Badly pitted gravel roads have nothing on some of our roads here!  I nearly lost a tire driving to the mall yesterday!

Anyway... I'm a grown up now, so my job is to gripe about the snow.  But my kids, well, their job is to love the snow.  And they're good at their job!  So as soon as they were able on the morning it snowed, they were out the door in full snow gear.

This was Josiah's first taste of snow.  (Literally and figuratively!)  He was too little to go out in it last year.  And much to my surprise, he liked it!

Well, he liked most of it. The part where it was too deep for him to walk--that part he didn't like so much.

Catch!

She actually wanted her hat like this.

The boy and his bucket.  Refusing to come in out of the cold.

I've had my fill now. I'm ready for spring! :)
