Emma had a couple solos, including one song with several verses in Spanish.
Several of the kids took turns playing instruments--keyboard, violin, djembe, tambourine, and bongos.
Emma played the keyboard for one of the songs.
The kids did a great job, especially given that it was the first time on stage for several of them! They'll be singing together again this weekend, as they have been invited to join the African Children's Choir that is coming from Uganda to put on a big concert at our church on Sunday night! What an amazing experience it will be! The African Children's Choir has toured all over the world, playing for national and international dignitaries and world leaders. They have been nominated for a Grammy award, and have also made appearances on various TV shows, including American Idol. Our kids have been working on learning a song in the African language of Zulu to be able to perform with the choir this weekend. If you're in the area, the concert is free and all are welcome to come! Come join us!
