Cousins, Mud, and Horses--It's All Good!

A couple weekends ago (yes, I'm still playing catch up on posts and pictures!) Dakota's brother, Sonny, and his two boys came up for the day. The kids thought it was quite a treat to hang out with their cousins for the day! The dads took the kids for a creek walk, and over to a nearby field to launch rockets and play games.

In the late afternoon we headed over to our friend's house for more fun. Our friends invited the International fellowship from our church over for dinner, swimming, four-wheeling, and horse riding! The pool was pretty cold, so the kids didn't spend too much time in the water.

But the four-wheeling had a long line of excited kids. It had rained a lot the night before, so there were a few muddy puddles in the field, which the older kids thought were awesome. The adult giving all the rides also thought the mud puddles were pretty cool.  But the moms who would do the laundry of those kids--well, we weren't such big fans of the mud puddles.

Sonny, took a turn driving, and took his kids and ours out for a spin.  It was a tame ride, since he had the younger kids and Noah with his broken arm.  But a tame ride was still a good ride.

Shortly before dinner, the horses were brought out and the kids helped brush them and give them some treats. After dinner everyone lined up for a turn on the horses.

Unfortunately, by the time the horses were ready, Sonny and the boys had to head back home.  But it had been a very full and fun day.  Our kids slept hard that night!
