VBS (or PBS... or ABF... or VBF...)

Whatever you call it, the girls had fun! Ashlyn never did fully figure out which combination of letters to call it (VBS--Vacation Bible School) but that doesn't matter so much. The girls went each day this week for the whole morning. I wasn't sure how Ashlyn would do, knowing this was the first time she'd be in her own class, separated from Emma for the whole morning. But she did great. The theme was jungle adventure--Ashlyn was a blue monkey (so fitting) and Emma was a red lion. They danced, sang, ran around playing games, did crafts, had story time and got to pet "wild animals." Emma said the best thing about going was snack time (lots of sweet snacks mom doesn't usually let her have). And Ashlyn said the best thing was the music.

For me, the best thing was getting a little quiet time around the house each morning, and getting to run errands with only one kid in tow. If this is how VBS works, sign me (I mean the girls) up for every week! :)
