Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending the beautiful wedding of Dakota's youngest sister, Lindsey. I have to be honest and say that we (and probably others) were wondering what she was thinking, planning an outdoor wedding for the middle of the afternoon, in July, in Missouri! Typical weather conditions for that time of year there are about 98 degrees with 100% humidity. But somehow, they were blessed with a balmy 75 degrees, and plenty of sun!
As the official behind-the-scenes photographer, I ended up taking more pictures than I knew what to do with. So I'll let some of my favorites tell the story...
Friday, we had some girl time, getting our nails done at the salon.
At the wedding rehearsal that evening, Josiah picked flowers for grandma.
And Emma found a praying mantis, which all the kids were fascinated by.
The wedding day was beautiful! (Our girls were the flower girls in the wedding.)
Time to get the bride ready!
The ceremony started...
Here comes the bride!
Spencer was shaking hands with his soon-to-be father in law, but he couldn't keep his eyes off of Lindsey!
Dakota played and Tara sang a beautiful song during the wedding.
They are husband and wife!
Josiah gave Lindsey a hug in the receiving line.
The bride and groom made their escape!
And the cousins had fun playing together before and after the wedding.
It was a whirlwind of a weekend, that's for sure! But we enjoyed being part of the festivities and getting to see family we don't often get to see. Congratulations and best wishes to Lindsey and Spencer!
