Looking over my last two posts, it occurred to me that I've written quite a bit about Emma, but haven't said much about Ashlyn. That said, let me share a bit about what our baby is up to these days. We recently took Ashlyn for her 4 month check up. She was 16 lbs 5 oz (90th percentile) and 25.5 in long (95th percentile). We thought she was a pretty chubby bunny, until we looked in Emma's baby book and saw that Emma was just over a pound heavier and an inch and a quarter longer at the same age! "Rollin' rollin' rollin',
Get that baby rollin',
Now our baby's rollin',
Ashlyn!"
It seems the Olympics have inspired Ashlyn to start her quest for gold medal rolling. It all started in hopes that she could get a better view of the TV screen when the Olympics were on. She would do everything within her power to arch and turn herself so as to be able to keep up with these Beijing games. Very quickly, she caught on and figured out how to flip herself onto her belly. Hooray! Well, maybe not hooray just yet. See, she already knew how to roll from her belly to her back, but in all the excitement of learning this new roll, she forgot that she could roll onto her back again all by herself. Occasionally, she remembers and can flip her
