Snow Much Fun!

The snow is actually gone now, but for a few weeks we had some crazy bitter cold, along with several inches of snow.  The bitter cold kept the kids stranded inside for many days.  But once the cold let up, the kids were so happy to get the green light for going out!

Ashlyn excitedly discovered that the temperatures had warmed up enough that the snow had become good for rolling snowballs.  So she and Emma worked together to roll some big balls and stack them up.  Then Ashlyn proceeded to decorate with a hat, scarf and face.

The next day Ashlyn made another snowman all by herself.  She was so proud of herself for rolling and stacking balls without any help.

Unfortunately for the kids and the snowmen (but happily for me) the temperatures continued to climb through the following days.  The snow people are gone, but mom's sanity is still (mostly) in tact, thanks to this mild winter.  ;)
